Pianist - Phillip Keveren

Phillip made his Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Pops Orchestra as guest soloist with Skitch Henderson and has also performed as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A pioneer in MIDI arranging and the field of orchestrating, he has piano solo and piano created many with for Yamaha's orchestra recordings PianoSoft MIDI Library.
.Phillip has composed music in diverse styles that range from commercial with the Miss America 1992 theme, "Straight to the Top" to many sacred piano, organ, instrumental solo and choral compositions for Woodland Music Press, Lillenas Music, Ron Harris Music and Warner Brothers Publications. He is a co-author of the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library, a comprehensive method of piano study that features many of his compositions and arrangements.
Phillip is becoming increasingly well-known for his educational publications. Noah's Ark, The Creation, and Tex-Mex Rex are part of Hal Leonard Corporation's Expansions series, while his full-sounding yet easy, arrangements of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and Pocahontas for Hal Leonard, have made this delightful music accessible to student pianists everywhere.
Formerly a composer, arranger and senior staff member for the Yamaha Music Educational System, Phillip gives over 50 concerts and workshops yearly for teachers and their students in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. He holds a B.M. in composition from California State University Northridge and an M.M. in composition from the University of Southern California.
